How to Mount and Remove the AIC
Aircraft Instrument Cover


1. Mounting the Aircraft Instrument Cover over the Instrument
Be sure the glass cover over the instrument is clean, dry, and free of dust and oil. Also be sure the glass cover over the selected instrument is securely mounted. While the suction cup used to attach the AIC is relatively small, you don't want to inadvertently push in or pull out the glass cover of the instrument.

To mount the AIC, align the center of  the suction cup, mounted in the center of the cover disk, with the center of the selected instrument's glass cover. Press the cover disk gently until the attached suction cup of the AIC is firmly in place. Release the pressure. The Aircraft Instrument Cover should now stay attached to instrument's glass cover. See the picture below.

 

2. Removing the Aircraft Instrument Cover over the Instrument
To remove the AIC disk, grab the side of the AIC disk and gently peel off the attached suction cup of the AIC from the glass cover of the instrument. See the picture below.
